Reindustrialization in the chocolate production sector

An Italian company belonging to a Swiss multinational that, with a turnover of more than 10 billion euro and approximately 13,500 employees, is present in 30 countries worldwide and has been operating in the chocolate sector for more than 150 years. The plant is located in the North of Italy, occupies an area of about 12,000 sqm and had around 90 redundancies.
Why we intervened
As a result of a reorganization of the production structure on a global scale, the group had planned to close the plant producing liquid and solid chocolate. We were asked to identify an industrial player with compatible business, interested in developing its activity by taking over the asset and re-employing the people.
How we intervened
- Feasibility analysis and reindustrialization project; - Drafting of supporting documents; - Search for potential taking over companies; - Participation in Trade Union meetings.
