After previous experiences in KPMG, ASTER and ARQUES INDUSTRIES, in 2008 he founded VERTUS, advisory company originally born in special situations projects. Alessandro has almost 30 years’ experience in both industry and services, having held numerous positions, also in an international context, in sales, management and as an investor. Mentor of Impact Hub, he also sits in the board of directors of several investment companies, in addition to TMA Italy and TMA Europe (Turnaround Management Association), ASSOREIND and AISO.

Carlo Balzarini

With over 30 years’ experience in human resources management, Carlo was responsible for the crisis and relocation unit of the Lombardy Region Agency, as well as having held managerial positions in large companies (Postalmarket S.p.A., Seci S.p.A., ABB group). Since 2010 he has supported Vertus in the industrial and trade union relations activity and in the relationships with the institutions responsible to manage the use of social shock absorbers in all regions of Italy, as well as with the Ministry of Labour and of Economic Development. Since September 2021 he has been President of ASSOREIND.

With a ten years’ experience in the field of corporate finance gained in national and international contexts, Christian focuses his professional attention on researching and developing, for SMEs and Large Corporates, the opportunities offered by the intricate world of debt & grants in national and European contexts in order to offer them tax and liquidity solutions.

In January 2023 he joined Vertus Debt & Grants Team as a Senior Business Developer with the task of supporting companies in identifying, developing, and managing the opportunities offered by the market.

For more than 10 years, Luisa has been involved in strategic consultancy, design/management/reporting of projects financed through regional/national calls. She has gained experience in various fields (universities, start-ups, multinationals) supporting company growth strategies and the implementation of investments/projects related to business start-ups and development.
In Vertus, she deals with debt & grants and coordinates the technical advisory team and the operational management of projects with all stakeholders; she supports the other divisions, cross-functionally, in the definition of integrated projects.

Graduated in Business Administration, Flavio started his professional career working for IT companies. For Filo Ltd, an Italian start-up in the IoT sector, Flavio took on the roles of Financial Analyst and Business Development Manager. As a public investor for the government, he continued his professional career at Invitalia SpA. Expert in financial strategies and start-ups, public soft loans and bank loans, private equity, from 2017 to 2019 Flavio was a partner of Blue Ocean Finance SpA. Since 2019 he has been Senior Advisor at Vertus in the field of debt & grants.

Graduated in Economics, Management and Corporate Law, Fabio is a founding partner of the investment company FG2 Capital and is also a partner and member of SAF Venture investment committee. Besides being a professional investor, Fabio worked as a manager in one of the world's leading strategy consultancy boutiques (CVA) in Australia and the Asia-Pacific region, managing projects for major international companies in the fields of Financial Services, Banking, Manufacturing, Technology, Energy and Utilities. Previously, Fabio was a Manager in the Private Equity team at EY Sydney. Fabio has significant international experience having lived and worked in London, Manchester, Perth, Sydney, and Melbourne for the past 8 years. Since 2020 he has worked with Vertus Debt & Grants division.

With a degree in Economics, Gianni started at RSI (later Altran) where he was Project Manager of several international projects. Then he became Quality Manager ISO 9001 and Purchasing Manager in Assystemitalia; his professional career continued within an innovative SME as Administrative Manager until 2017. In 2018, he became a freelancer with a focus on tax credits, especially the ones related to Formazione 4.0, which has been the object of his collaboration with GEDI since 2020.
