ALESSANDRO IELO

founder & managing partner

Graduated in Business Economics at the Cattolica University of Milan and Certified Public Accountant, Alessandro has an over twenty years’ experience both in the industrial and the financial fields thanks to several tasks, also at an international level, both in the commercial and the operational area.
4 years’ experience in KPMG Milan in Audit and M&A Consultancy.
13 years’ experience in Aster Associate Termoimpianti S.p.A, an engineering company (Milan). Vice President and Member of Board of Directors in various companies of the Group. He worked for long periods abroad (Johannesburg, London, Manila, Hong Kong) and supervised the Group operational and financial restructuring (2006).
2 years as Managing Director of Arques Italia S.r.l., the Italian branch of Arques Industries AG, an investment holding company listed at the Frankfurt Stock Exchange focusing on companies in transitional situations.
In 2008 he founded Vertus.
He sits in the boards of directors of Termofin S.p.A. (Investment holding), Cave Capital S.r.l. (Investment holding) and Greenhouse 1 (renewable energies). He also sits in the board of directors of TMA Italia (Turnaround Management Association) and is Vice President of ASSOREIND, the association that includes the leading companies active in the field of reindustrialization in Italy.

CARLO BALZARINI

With a degree in Philosophy at Cattolica University of Milan, Carlo has over 30 years’ experience in human resources management, with particular regard to restructuring processes.
Once responsible for the crisis and relocation unit of the Lombardy Region Agency (ARIFL), he also covered various managerial positions in large groups such as Postalmarket S.p.A., Seci S.p.A. and ABB Group.
Currently Carlo supports Vertus in the industrial and trade union relations activity and in the relationships with the institutions responsible to manage the use of social shock absorbers in all regions of Italy, as well as with the Ministry of Labour and of Economic Development.

SERGIO PANDOLFI

Graduated in 1988 in Business Administration at the Cattolica University of Milan, Sergio began his career as an auditor at Ernest & Young, and then developed his managerial experience at Avon Cosmetics, initially in Planning & Control, then in increasing responsibility positions in Sales and Marketing.
In 2001 he started his career in Human Resources, as operations manager in Cronos, which later became Worknet and then GI Group.
In 2005, he began his experience in Fairplace Consulting as Sales Manager, and later he held the positions of General Manager and CEO.
After important and significant experience as a partner in Corium and Right Management, alternated to professional development opportunities as temporary manager in industrial and commercial companies going through a phase of generational change and turnaround, he joins the HR Solutions division in Vertus as Senior Partner, with a particular focus on the activities of career counselling and management development.

 

PAOLO BALDINI

Graduated in Law at the Statale University in Milan with professor Guido Rossi with a thesis in Commercial Law, Paolo improved his training at well-known postgraduate schools (SDA, Tesi, Keser).
Since 1985 Paolo worked in leading Italian companies (Alivar) and multinationals (Nielsen, Dow Chemical , Stafford Miller) where he carried out marketing activities until reaching managerial roles of brand and product coordination both in Italy and internationally.
In 2002 he entered the Human Resources sector as a partner and Managing Director of Corium, a company operating in business consulting with a focus on outplacement and coaching.
After another significant experience in Right Management, he joins the HR Solutions division in Vertus as a Senior Partner, with a particular focus on the activities of career counselling, outplacement and management development.
In recent years he has followed hundreds of people as a consultant, receiving assignments by the most important Italian and international companies.

MARIA ELENA
BROCKHAUS

With a degree in Law at the Genoa University, Maria Elena has developed a significant experience in corporate communication at Barabino & Partners and as Communication Manager at Quanta SpA, an Italian group, with a multinational structure, active in b2b and hr services, events and sports.
As Project Manager, she supported the start-up Shopping & Charity Srl, website with magazine on Italian excellences and showcase for solidarity purchases.
Since 2016 she cooperates with Vertus where she is responsible for the coordination of reindustrialization projects.

MARCO FILIPPO
MARTINENGO

Graduated in Modern Literature and History of Italian Language at the Statale University in Milan, graduated in piano at the State Conservatory, Marco obtained a Master’s degree in Organization and Personnel at the Bocconi University in Milan and is a Hogan Certified Assessor.
In Manpower Group he gained experience in the research and selection process of managerial profiles and in the development of assessment solutions, coaching, leadership development, outplacement.
Within the HR Solutions division in Vertus, Marco is currently engaged in both commercial development and delivery activities, mainly in the area of research and assessment.

Graduated in Business Administration at the University of Rome Tor Vergata, Flavio began his professional activity working for some years for IT companies as Oracle Hyperion financial advisor. In Filo Ltd., an Italian start-up in the IoT sector, Flavio took on the roles of financial analyst and Business Development Manager. As a public investor for the government, he continued his professional career at Invitalia SpA managing Italian and European public funds. Expert in financial strategies and startups, public soft loans and banking loans, private equity, between 2017 and 2019 Flavio was partner of Blue Ocean Finance SpA as Manager of European, government and local funds. Since 2019 he is Senior Advisor in Vertus in the field of debt & grants.

BERETTA

Graduated in Foreign Languages and Literature at the Cattolica University in Milan, Cristina worked as an assistant to the Commercial Management in import & export companies, BO.MA Srl and Vega 3 Srl, mainly dealing with international customers and suppliers. After a few years spent in the language training sector, Cristina joins Vertus team as an assistant in support of the various business divisions.

Graduated in Modern Literature specialising in Psychology at the Cattolica University in Milan, Sara began her professional activity as Training and Development Manager in the Human Resources Department of the multinational company Avon Cosmetics, and then continued her career in the Gruppo Editoriale L’Espresso, currently GEDI, where she assumed the role of HRBP and Training Manager of the entire group.
Having an extensive knowledge of complex organizations and relational dynamics, since 2013 Sara has been in charge of People Development, working as facilitator and assessor (Hogan certified); as a coach, in 2019 she completed the Professional Coaching Mastery with the 2nd level Advanced.
Sara contributes to the development of the HR Solutions division, dealing with assessment, coaching and managerial development.

Graduated in Law at the University in Parma, Giovanni began his professional activity, since the years of university studies, working as a manager in a financial and insurance group, where he dealt with sales, training and management of the commercial network.
After a few years as an official at the Unione Industriali in Parma, where he followed corporate consulting projects in the field of labour law, Giovanni continued his career assuming the role of Human Resources Manager of the group IMMERGAS SPA, responsible both for Italy and foreign branches.
Between 2006 and 2019, Giovanni gained important experiences in the roles of General Manager and Executive Director of manufacturing and services companies, dealing with reorganization and organizational development.
Giovanni cooperates in the development of Vertus HR Solutions division and is involved, as Senior Advisor, in delicate projects of analysis and restructuring of organizational models.

FABIO LUIGI
GALLUCCI

Fabio holds a Bachelor and Master degrees in Management and Accounting with Law at the University of Pavia. Fabio is a Founding Partner of FG2 Capital, an investment company, and looks after the investments in the U.S. and Europe; he is also a Partner and Investment Committee member of SAF Venture.
Besides being a professional investor, he has worked as a Manager in a top global boutique strategy consulting firm (CVA) in Australia and the Asia-Pacific region, managing projects for major international companies in industries such as Financial Services, Banking, Manufacturing, Technology, Energy and Utilities. Previously, Fabio was a Manager in the Private Equity team of EY Sydney.
He has a significant international experience having lived and worked in London, Manchester, Perth, Sydney and Melbourne for the last 8 years.

With a Degree in Law at the Statale University of Milan, Andrea has more than 15 years experience in Real Estate, with reference to industrial-logistics properties. After several positions in the Management and Coordination of big enterprises in the retail industry, as for instance Auchan S.p.a, Esselunga S.p.a and Lidl s.r.l., Andrea currently cooperates with VERTUS in the field of Real Estate, with regard to due diligence and exploitation of properties’ assets.

VILLA

Graduated in Psychology at the Università degli Studi in Turin, since the year 2000 she has developed her skills in the fields of training, development, assessment techniques and coaching. She has also worked on projects of corporate climate analysis and evaluation of the employees’ working life quality, aiming at improving commitment, through specific action plans.
With an extensive experience in the design of managerial training courses, in the creation of evaluation exercises of career advice, in the administration of Hogan Assessments, role play and business cases, she has collaborated on relevant projects for well-known multinational companies.
Paola collaborates with Vertus HR Solutions Division as Senior Advisor, managing important assessment, coaching and leadership development projects, both individual and in group.

Graduated in Business Administration at Bocconi University in Milan. Auditor. Cesare is an expert in due diligence, business valuations and extraordinary M&A transactions. Moreover, he is an expert in management consulting, accountancy and corporate tax in different industries.

Graduated in Business Administration at the Cattolica University in Milan, Marilu began her professional activity at BOSCH, where she held several roles: Training and Development Manager and later HRBP. She continued her career in MoneyGram International, where she held the role of South Europe HR Manager. Since 2012, Marilu is a Senior Consultant for various consulting companies, carrying out projects, also at international level, of development, assessment, training and performance management, as well as projects related to the areas of leadership, corporate welfare and diversity. Marilu is an ICF (PCC level) and Agile certified coach.
Senior Advisor for Vertus HR Solutions Division, Marilu deals with the design and management of evaluation and individual development projects for senior and top management profiles, as well as with organizational consulting projects and HR processes.

ALBERTO GHIGLIENO

Graduated in Engineering at the Politecnico in Turin and with a Master in Business Administration at SDA Bocconi, Alberto has a significant experience in internationalization and globalization processes. He held positions at Alenia Spazio and within the Fiat Group where he reached the role of Managing Director of Fiat Auto in South America. He then joined a Private Equity Fund headed by a Swiss private bank, carrying out various operations of corporate acquisition, restructuring and sale (also dealing with the operational management of some holdings). In 2011 he became partner of Verto Value Regeneration, focusing on the fields of corporate restructuring and performance optimization. Since 2018 he has been collaborating with Vertus to support the corporate development plan.
